Job Description

We are seeking AP/CP board certified Pathologist and are pleased to offer this exceptional opportunity in our rapidly growing hospital-based practice in Southern, IL. This practice will involve central practice in one hospital and support of other satellites hospitals. The successful candidate must be board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Subspecialty training or certification is highly desired but not required. It is preferred that candidates currently hold Illinois medical license or be eligible.
The position will have solo coverage and require signing out of anatomic pathology cases, frozen sections coverage and oversight of clinical laboratory as a medical director. The pathology group will provide coverage while on leave. Consultation within the group is available on complex cases. The facilities are CLIA and Joint commission accredited. There will be after hours or weekends call for less common frozen sections and clinical cases. This position also requires candidate to be outgoing, possess demonstrated leadership skills, active on hospital committees, tumor board, and have exceptional interpersonal and clinical skills. In addition, once a month physical presence is expected in satellite hospitals to fulfill medical director role and these facilities are within 40 minutes' drive.
