Job Description

Survey Field Technician

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc., a civil engineering and environmental engineering consulting firm, has an opening in its Michigan Operation for a Survey Field Technician.

The ideal candidate does not need direct survey experience but must be open to field work, learn all aspects of surveying, and willing to be hands on.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Candidate will assist the crew chief, as part of a two-person crew.
- This is a full time field position that will be involved in ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary surveys, & topographic surveys.
- Some projects may require work on construction sites, industrial areas and facilities, and in and around water.
- Candidate will also assist with equipment maintenance, and keeping inventory of necessary supplies.
- Knowledge of survey equipment in optional.
- Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, and data collection systems a plus.
