Job Description

We are seeking a SPECIALTY CHEMICAL SALES / ACCOUNT MANAGER (2 regions: West Coast, Northeast),
B2B; water treatment, process treatment, corrosion & scale inhibitors, biocides, others.
Must have experience selling specialized raw materials - intermediates - active ingredients! Must know chemistry.

*Achieve targeted sales and/or market share in identified markets and key growth accounts
*Ensure customer satisfaction and achieving overall market growth objectives. Initial focus: water treatment service companies, distributors, custom blenders; other specialty chemical manufacturers and formulators, and direct users.
* Must have strong communication and organizational skills to effectively work with multiple levels of the scientific, plant, marketing, and purchasing personnel of customers.
*Must have sound knowledge of industrial water treatment marketplace, technology and practice, and broad familiarity with the commercial uses of scale inhibitors, biocides, corrosion inhibitors, and similar chemicals in this area.
*Take ownership of clients (existing and new), develop relationships and business, earn trust and improve expertise knowledge
*Account management to enhance relationships (existing: large/small)
*Interact with Business Development Group for new products/industries/clients
*Technical Competence to truly assist clients needs now and in the future
*Must be well organized, motivated and ethical
*Travel 50% in region

*BIOCIDES *CORROSION INHIBITORS *SCALE INHIBITORS *SPECIALTY CHEMICALS

REQUIRES: BS/MS in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar technical background with demonstrated ability to apply scientific and selling principles. Proven hands-on ability with standard commercial environment. 8+ years sales experience
