Driller Assistant/Technician (Entry Level)

Are you looking for a fresh start in a new industry?

MSG Columbus is growing and looking for a self-motivated individual to work as a Driller Assistant/Technician as part of our multi-discipline and highly interactive team. With offices located throughout OH, MI, WV and AL, employees work collaboratively across all disciplines to provide services to our clients.

This position is for candidates looking to get their foot in the door with the Drilling industry!

The main responsibility include:
- Assisting with drill rig operations for geotechnical and environmental investigations.
- Construction inspection, and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Available to travel locally and regionally up to 2-5 days at a time, Lodging and per diem provided.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Construction materials (soil, concrete, etc.) testing.
- Learn and perform operator level repairs on the Drill.

Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.,
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- One to two years’ experience in construction or machine operation preferred.
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
- Heavy equipment/drill rig operating experience a plus but NOT required.
- Must be open to getting CDL Class A, if not already obtained.
- Position advancement to Driller may be available.
